Hi, I'm Alyssa!

I consider myself a creative person who finds joy in sharing others stories in the way they are meant to be told. When I was very young, I would find myself staring at cars that drove by thinking about how every car had a different story waiting to be shared. I know it sounds cheesy, but it is actually true.

 

When I was in college I wrote for a magazine based around the culture of our city and school. I ended up falling in love with interviewing local business, small organizations, and shops in our college town that I felt never got much attention. Being able to be the person they shared such valuable information to and to be trusted to write it accurately was very inspiring to me. I was offered the opportunity to grow a local roofing companies social media accounts from the ground-up since the owner was not super "tech-savvy" as he would describe himself.

 

Little did I know at the time that this would be the biggest blessing and most rewarding experience I have had yet. I learned very quickly that I was not just helping somebody create an Instagram account, but I was forming their brands voice, identity, and reputation with not just social media followers but within their community. People starting recognizing the companies name more often, leaving wonderful Google reviews, and mentioning posts out in public to the company workers.

I freelanced for about one year and then ended up making it official by purchasing an LLC called DIBS Studio. I wanted to be able to do what I did for Highland Roofing Ohio, for so many other small businesses, or individuals, who needed it. I wanted to call DIBS on sharing their story- and I hope to be able to continue learning, growing, and progressing this dream in the future!
